Yellow week

Here is the finished sculpture I helped create in my yellow week project, in this project me and my group had to create a hybrid sculpture that could move and perform. (My scultpture is the tallest at the back of the others.) My hybrid sculpture is shaped in an abnormal surrealist style and creates a shocking impact with on lookers, I found this reaction as one we wanted to create and overal was please with our final outcome.

Still Life Drawing in Detail and Perspective

This my picture as a whole even though its unfinished, I tried to create intense and vivid detail and shading in my work. The drawing as a whole I tried to capture a balanced composition. As a whole the mood of the drawing is quite creepy and sinister, but also mysterious and interesting. In the seperate objects before adding tone I created a delicate line to capture the movement of the figures and objects. There is also alot of negative space in the drawing to show that the objects are suspended on string.
The drawing of the saw took alot of time because of the intense detail, on the edge of the saw I created a jagged effect to make the saw look sharp.

Continuous Line Drawings using different medias

In this Drawing lesson I worked with natural objects to create different continuous line drawings using different medias including green ink brown ink, charcoal, white and orange pastels and byro. The combination of these images created an interesting effect almost like the works of Julian Opie.
This is the section of my work I used green and brown ink and charcoal. The mark makings with the ink were very light and rough, this is why went over with charcoal. The colours are quite bright in this section of my work, giving off a happy mood to my picture.
In this section of my work I drew my continuous line drawing of a pinecone, for this I used a standerd Byro pen, and for the background charcoal and white pastel. There is a limited colour pallate in this section of my work and the shadows are quite dark and sinister giving off this mood to my picture.
For this section of my work I used orange and white pastel, and then to outline the shell graphite pencil. For the background I used orange and white pastel, with charcoal. This piece of my work uses quite pale colours and the pencil breaks this up and adds texture and shadows.
For this section of my work I used white pastel and black charcoal, I used the same medias for the background. The dark shadows in this picture created by the charcoal make this section of my work quite eerie.

Tone with different medias

In this Drawing lesson I worked with different medias to create different textures and tones. The different materials I used included orange and white pastels, charcoal, ink and graphite pencils. I also worked on proportion and persepective in this lesson. Even though my drawing was left unfinished the different medias creates an intriguing picture.

Perspective and tone

This is my observational drawing, in this drawing lesson I concentrated on tones and light shadows, I also concentrated on the perspective of the objects and the distance between them.

Still life

Created in Drawing lesson- Still life. In this lesson I focused on detail, tone and highlights on each individual drawing. I used a 4B pencil to insure that my drawings had enough variation in tones, and used the rubber to highlight areas where the light reflected. Each drawing took a lot of time because I was focusing on detail which is why the last drawing of the shell is incomplete.

Concertina Sketchbook

Concertina Sketchbook- Completed in 3 week induction. On the far left of my concertina sketchbook is a 'Wordle' this is a type of typography art which is an arrangement of words to look more artistic than factual. After this I have a piece of fabric that I completed in Fashion and Textiles on the fabric are different sowing techniques, materials and textures.
